100% Organic or Not?
There are some very real problems with attempting to manufacture 100% organic skin and hair care products. To date it has been almost impossible for the cosmetics industry along with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to set acceptable regulations. One of the principle reasons for this is that any product which contains water is also going to have to contain a preservative that will prevent bacteria from growing in said product. There is no way around that fact of science. Water allows bacteria to grow.
Therefore, the cosmetic industry has been hard at work to discover, devise or design ‘natural’ and synthetic preservatives. Then we must figure out how much (the percentage) of this ingredient can be included in a product that may then claim to be natural. Petroleum by-products are natural, they are refined; but they are natural. Do you want to be using petro-chemical ingredients on your skin and hair and have these ingredients washing into your ground water and oceans?
The same has been the case for organic products. One would think that if a product claims to be organic then all of its ingredients must be organic. Unfortunately, “the games within games within games” mentality of government regulators, spurred on by lobbyists have found many inventive ways to trick the consumer into thinking that words like ‘natural’ or ‘organic’ actually mean what one thinks they do. At this time, most products are only required to contain a certain percentage of organic ingredients in order to claim that they are organic.
I am sorry to tell you that these words have actually become rather meaningless. Consumers now have to do an enormous amount of research to track down authentic natural and organic products. Products that not only nourish and protect your skin and hair but that also protect our ground water and oceans from the buildup of harmful destructive ingredients.
We, at Classic Purity, are extremely proud to inform you that our products are indeed 100% organic and natural. You can be using excellent products for your health and well-being while at the same time be helping to protect our drinking water, rivers, lakes and oceans and give them the healing time they need to recover from years of abuse.
